Over 1200 species of birds may be seen in India. Anywhere you are you are bound to see over a hundred species. One can have a field day for birding with over 375 species found in the 30 sq. km. Keoladeo National Park situated within 60 kms from the Taj Mahal. Both of them are listed in the World heritage site. Keoladeo is unique for the number of bird species and their overall number. It is comprised of wetland, woodland and grass land.and is heaven for waterfowl, herons, cranes and birds of prey apart from the mammals, such as Samber, Chital, Nilgai, Black Buck, Python can also be seen very easily. The star attraction is the Siberian Crane which comes in winter from November to March. A visit is a must for serious birders and it can be conveniently explored on foot. Over trails intersection the wetlands, or by boat, bicycle or rickshaw.

Day : 1] Arrive Delhi
Arrival, customs procedures, baggage collection and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day : 2| Delhi (Old and New Delhi)
Breakfast. Visiting Old Delhi, starting with the great Jama Masjid, Continuation in rickshaw ride (bicycle cart) to visit Chandni Chowk and Spice Market in Old Delhi, later visit Raj Ghat, which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Also visit Agrasen ki baoli (step well), Bangla Sahib Gurudwara (Sikh Temple), India Gate, Parliament Building, President House, Ministries. Continue to visit Humayun Tomb, Lotus Temple (Bahai House) and Qutub Minar. Overnight at hotel.
Day : 3 | Delhi - Corbett
Morning drive to Corbett National Park. On the way stop at Ramnagar and look for the fabulous IBISBILL amongst the riverside boulders. Upon arrival, check into your hotel/Camp. Later proceed for an afternoon to KOSI riverbanks. Rest of the day at leisure.
Jim Corbett National Park used to be just another Himalayan forest until in 1936 it was demarcated as a reserve area by the British Government. Jim Corbett Park is spread over 520 sq kms and is covered with huge stretches of Savannah type grasslands and Sal forests. In 1957 this place was renamed as Jim Corbett National Park from Hailey national Park. It was declared as an almost exclusive Tiger Reserve on 1st April 1973 with the help of World Wildlife Fund. Since the place is situated on the lower Himalayan belt of vegetation, it is an eco-tourism spot too. Overnight at hotel.

Day: 6 | Corbett - Agra
Morning drive to the "Romantic City of Taj Mahal- Agra". On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on friday), Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!. Overnight at hotel.
Day: 7 | Agra - Bharatpur
Today morning after breakfast proceed to Bharatpur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Relax for a while. Later in the late afternoon proceed on Rickshaw for viewing the birds.
Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary: Originally a duck shooting preserve of Maharaja Suraj Mull of Bharatpur, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary of Rajasthan was declared a national park in 1982. Later, in 1985, it was listed as a World Heritage site by Unesco. At present, the Rajasthan Keoladeo Ghana National Park serves as one of the chief breeding and feed grounds for the birds around the world. The Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary, of Rajasthan, houses approximately 300 species of birds. Amongst them, the most prominent ones are Painted Storks, Open and Spoon Bills, Egrets, Cormorants, White Ibis, Jacanas, While Harriers, Fishing Eagles, Pied Kingfisher, etc. However, the most awaited species of birds is the Siberian Crane. Apart from Iran, India is the only place where this bird migrates in winter.
Bharatpur sanctuary remains open throughout the year from sunrise to sunset. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day : 8 | Bharatpur
Full day birding inside the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Keoladeo National Park/wildlife Sanctuary: It is famous as bird's paradise, with over 380 resident and migrant species of birds, including the Common, Demoiselle and the rare Siberian Cranes. The Keoladeo Ghana National Park is also an excellent place to spot mammals like Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Striped Hyaena, Sambar, Fishing Cat, Nilgai, Blackbuck and wild Boar. In 1981, Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary was given the status of National Park. The name Keoladeo has been derived from a nearby ancient Hindu temple, devoted to Lord Shiva.
The best time to visit the Park is either early morning or in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
